Click to ZoomSecurity is obviously a huge concern for external hard drives, and the Data Locker looks like it takes security seriously. The 2.5 inch drive has a digital keypad on the front of the drive for you to type in your password. Enter the right password and you can access your data, but if you don't then the data is locked up tight.

The graphics for the keypad look like they are straight out of 1983 (probably from e-paper display technology), so there is a pleasing retro touch to the whole thing as well. The data locks as soon as the drive is disconnected, so you don't have to worry about forgetting to set the lock. You also don't have to worry about someone trying to rip the drive apart to get at the data - it's secure regardless of what someone does to it.

The drive comes in 80GB, 120GB and 250GB, weighs in at 9 ounces, and measures 5 x 3 x 0.8 inches. No word on price or availability.
